A Dream Destination Wedding on the Spanish Coast

When Haley and Daniel began searching for the perfect destination wedding venue in Spain, they knew they wanted somewhere that would leave a lasting impression on everyone they invited. Travelling from the United States with 112 family members and friends, they chose the breathtaking Castell de Tamarit, a historic castle perched above the Mediterranean Sea.

The celebrations began the evening before with a relaxed welcome party at May Altafulla Boutique Hotel, giving guests the chance to meet, unwind, and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere before the wedding day. It set the tone for a weekend centred around connection, laughter, and shared experiences.

Soft Florals and Timeless Romance

With its centuries-old stone walls, panoramic coastal views, and timeless character, Castell de Tamarit provided the perfect backdrop for the couple's vision—a celebration that felt both elegant and wonderfully relaxed. Inspired by the natural beauty of the castle, Haley envisioned flowers in abundance. Elegant floral installations framed the ceremony, while delicate pastel roses, hydrangeas and seasonal blooms continued throughout the reception, creating a romantic atmosphere that complemented the historic surroundings rather than competing with them.

The soft palette carried through every detail of the day, from the ceremony backdrop to the candlelit banquet tables, allowing the architecture of Castell de Tamarit and the Mediterranean coastline to remain at the heart of the celebration.

One of the day's most charming details was Haley's arrival in a vintage wedding car alongside her maid of honour. After the celebrations, the newlyweds departed in the very same car as guests gathered to wave them off—a beautiful full-circle moment that perfectly framed the beginning and end of their wedding day.

A Celebration Designed for Every Guest

Music accompanied guests throughout the celebration, with live performances by 22DUO creating an elegant soundtrack for both the ceremony and aperitif before the evening transformed into a lively celebration.

One particularly memorable experience was the presence of live watercolour artists, who painted personalised portraits for guests throughout the day. It became both unique entertainment and a meaningful keepsake that guests could take home from the wedding.

As night fell over the castle, the atmosphere shifted once again. Octavio FireSax brought incredible energy to the dance floor with his live saxophone performance, while cold spark fountains, LED foam sticks and CO₂ effects added excitement to the first dance and the evening party.

Haley and Daniel's wedding beautifully demonstrated how a destination celebration can combine timeless elegance with unforgettable guest experiences—bringing together breathtaking scenery, thoughtful details and joyful moments in one extraordinary place on Spain's Mediterranean coast.
