Claire & Varun
Where Indian traditions met Mediterranean romance
Cultures, music, and unforgettable moments
A Destination Wedding Close to the Heart
For Claire and Varun, Barcelona was much more than a beautiful destination. Living in Seattle, the couple had visited the city together several times and built lasting memories there with friends, making it the perfect place to bring together loved ones from across the world.
With Claire's family travelling from the United States and Varun's family joining from India, their wedding became a true international celebration. Set at the stunning Masia Ègara, the day beautifully blended meaningful traditions, elegant styling, and the relaxed charm of the Catalan countryside.
Honouring Tradition Across Two Celebrations
The festivities began with a vibrant Sangeet celebration at Casa Bonay, where family and friends gathered for an evening of dinner, dancing, and joyful anticipation. As an important Indian pre-wedding tradition, the Sangeet created the perfect opportunity for both families to connect before the wedding day.
The following day, guests gathered at Masia Ègara for an emotional outdoor ceremony accompanied by the warm sounds of Spanish guitar. Afterwards, they walked through the venue's enchanting tunnel of lights towards the aperitif, creating one of the day's most memorable transitions.
A Celebration Filled with Energy and Joy
As the evening unfolded, the atmosphere became increasingly lively. Claire and Varun made a joyful entrance into the banquet while guests enthusiastically waved napkins, setting the tone for an evening full of laughter and celebration.
Their first dance flowed seamlessly into the cake cutting, with a beautiful creation by Lolita Bakery becoming another highlight of the evening.
Elegant floral styling by Flors Bertran complemented the historic surroundings, while exceptional cuisine by GAU Catering and music throughout the celebration ensured guests enjoyed every moment.
Claire and Varun's wedding was a wonderful reflection of what destination weddings do best: bringing together different cultures, cherished traditions, and loved ones from around the world to create one unforgettable celebration.
