Morgan & Parth

A Fusion of Indian Heritage and Caribbean Spirit in Spain

Two ceremonies, one unforgettable love story by the sea

Morgan and Parth brought together Indian traditions, Caribbean heritage, and heartfelt personal touches in a breathtaking two-day celebration. From a vibrant baraat and sacred Hindu vows to Christian rituals and “jumping the broom,” their wedding at Castell de Tamarit was a fusion of cultures, history, and joy.

Choosing Barcelona as Their Middle Ground

For Morgan and Parth, Barcelona was the perfect destination — a city they both loved and a neutral ground for their families and 100 guests traveling from across the globe. With breathtaking venues, rich traditions, and a vibrant Mediterranean backdrop, their wedding became an extraordinary two-day journey blending Indian heritage, Caribbean spirit, and timeless romance.

A Colorful Hindu Welcome

The celebrations began at the H10 Imperial Tarraco, where the couple hosted a welcome cocktail party and their Hindu ceremony overlooking the sea. Under the guidance of Pandit Sadhya, the rituals unfolded with reverence and joy, weaving in traditional Indian rituals and wedding traditions. Each step carried deep meaning, blessing the union in front of their closest loved ones.

The celebration was filled with vibrant colors and intricate artistry. Morgan’s bridal mehndi, designed by Laiba, reflected centuries of Indian tradition while symbolizing love and prosperity. Guests enjoyed cocktails, music, and dancing against the stunning Tarragona coastline, setting the perfect tone for the grand wedding day to come.

The Baraat and Hindu Ceremony at Castell de Tamarit

The second day unfolded at the majestic Castell de Tamarit, where the celebrations took on an even more spectacular scale. Parth arrived in true tradition with a lively baraat — complete with energetic dhol players and a majestic white horse. Surrounded by cheers, dancing, and music, it was a moment of pure joy that carried into the ceremony itself.

Once again led by Pandit Sadhya, the Hindu rituals unfolded beneath a beautifully adorned mandap designed with florals by Elisa Bertran. With each vow, blessing, and ritual — including the mangal sutra and the pheras — Morgan and Parth honored the weight of tradition while celebrating in their own unique way. The setting, enhanced by Teresa Snowball’s artistry in beauty, made the ceremony both deeply spiritual and breathtakingly beautiful.

A Christian Ceremony with Historical Resonance

After the Hindu vows, guests were welcomed into Tamarit’s historic church for the Christian ceremony. Officiated by the Morgan’s uncle, Woodrow Leeks, it carried both solemnity and joy. One of the most powerful moments came with the couple’s decision to “jump the broom” inside the church — a tradition rooted in the days of slavery, when enslaved people were forbidden from legally marrying and used the broom as a symbolic gesture of union. By including this ritual, Morgan and Parth honored history, resilience, and their Caribbean heritage, adding profound meaning to their vows.

Celebration Through Music and Joy

Following the ceremonies, the couple treated their guests to a cocktail-style aperitivo featuring Indian-inspired canapés from Bembi Group, a flavorful nod to Parth’s roots. Dinner that evening showcased the best of the castle’s in-house catering, blending Catalan gastronomy with international flair. Live jazz from Catjazz accompanied the meal, setting the perfect mood before the celebration erupted onto the dance floor with DJ Jose leading the party.

Every moment — from the baraat to the final dance — was beautifully captured by Andrea Ferrara and Urko Wedding Films, ensuring that Morgan and Parth’s two-day fusion wedding will be remembered for generations.
