A Sunset Wedding Full of Music, Culture, and Heart

Funmi & Tobi brought sunshine, glam, and unstoppable joy to their intimate coastal wedding at Xalet del Nin. From live strings to fire sax, flamenco, a sparkling cake moment, and a moonlit dancefloor — this day was pure magic.

A Love Rooted in Two Worlds

Funmi and Tobi’s celebration was an intimate, luminous affair that beautifully reflected their Texas lives and Nigerian roots. After a joyful traditional wedding in Nigeria, the couple wanted a second, smaller gathering where close friends and family could relax, reconnect, and celebrate beside the sea. During venue visits in 2024 they fell for the Mediterranean elegance and sunset views of Xalet del Nin, a setting that felt both luxurious and warmly familiar.

Ceremony by the Sea

With the October sun and beneath blue Catalan skies, the couple exchanged vows in a tender ceremony scored by a live violin and cello duo — Emelie Violin and Cello Moments — whose strings gave every moment a rich, emotional thread. As rose petals fluttered down and the ocean sparkled behind them, Funmi glowed in a strapless gown and soft veil, clutching a bouquet of dusty-rose roses, pampas grass and pink orchids crafted by Flors Bertran. Tobi cut a striking figure in a white tuxedo jacket with black lapels, the pair perfectly composed and joyfully radiant as they walked back down the aisle.

An Evening of Fire Sax and Flamenco

The aperitivo lifted into high energy when Fire Sax filled the air with soaring, unexpected notes. Dinner by Sensacions Barcelona blended refined flavours with convivial Spanish hospitality, and a passionate flamenco performance by Adan and Marina gave the night a dramatic, cultural flourish that guests loved. A sparkling cake-cutting lit up the room, and traditions like the bouquet toss and a lively dollar dance added playful, heartfelt moments to the evening’s rhythm.

Late-Night Glamour and Moonlit Dancing

For the night’s portraits and celebration, Funmi changed into a pearl-studded second gown while Tobi moved into a textured black tuxedo — an elegant transformation that made for unforgettable photos. The evening flowed seamlessly under sound by Raich AV and DJ sets by DeejaySteez, until the couple and their guests danced beneath a full moon. Every smile and every movement was captured by photographers The Alfe and the Fire & Ice film team, preserving a day that felt equal parts elegant, joyful and utterly unforgettable.
